Following God’s Will

Doing what “God wants” and not what “you want” is a lifelong struggle of “wills” - your will vs.God’s will. Some people think that if they follow God’s plan then there will never be any trouble - but the truth is, trials and tribulation will be with us until Jesus comes! But what you can count on is that God will be with you through every storm - you don’t have to face your struggles alone! Sometimes God allows burdens to draw you ever closer to Him, and it is through your trials that your character is being perfected for heaven. Following God’s will usually leads you way out of your comfort zone - which teaches you to be totally dependent on your Lord and Savior. God won’t force you to serve Him - He wants you to “choose” to serve Him - because you love Him. It is so very important that you are doing the will of your Father - for truly your salvation depends on it. In Matthew 7:21-23 we’re told, “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!” Wow! It doesn’t get clearer than that! Following God’s will is critical because your salvation depends on it.
